The Art Exchange Program

2004 is almost over...
this was the hardest thing I've ever had to do.

I like that this first contest ends at the end of the year, I feel it's a good wrap up. A good ending and a good beginning.
I have learned a lot from this.

So many great things were submitted to the grant/contest. Lots of different bindings and topics, and all showed what I hoped this contest would bring out, that creating art goes beyond whether or not you're making money. These people do this because they love it, because they have to, because they need to. Thank you everyone for entering and for creating. I also want to thank Brandon of Quite Lovely Comics who donated the fees to register this domain name as a way to help this endeavor.

I only thing I regret is that I can't award more prizes. First Place was awarded $150.00 which just about cleaned me out, and the second and third were awarded free issues from the carbon based mistake. If anyone reading this is interested in sponsoring a category next year (100-150 dollars) please email me and let me know.

If you'd like to stay on the mailing list then send info to me at tcbmNY(at)gmail.com
