Handmade Fiction is a project created to distribute limited edition gifts to unsuspecting on-line buyers of novels, movies, comics, and television shows. We will take something that exists only within fiction and make it a reality, or re-create something rare that otherwise you may never have a chance to see in real life. We will then buy copies of the works that inspired the item and re-sell them on-line, at a financial loss, without any indication they will come with a prop from the work in question. One of the aims of the project is to emphasize the idea that you can only obtain something you didn’t ask for. If you know you want one of these creations, you can’t have one. The other aim is to have fun and make stuff and give it away for free, because we think that’s cool.
